JOB VACANCY FOR SEAFARERS

PT Samuel Jaya Maritim (Official P3MI) opens golden opportunities for you, professionals in the maritime culinary field, to join as Assistant Cook (Assistant Chef / Camarero) on board the Deep Sea Trawler registered under the Netherlands.

We are looking for resilient candidates with multilingual communication skills to work in a dynamic international crew environment.

Job Description (Job Duties):

  • Assist the Chief Cook in the preparation and serving of meals for the entire crew (mixed crew).

  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the galley area, dining room, and food storage (dry & cold storage).

  • Manage food inventory and ensure sanitation and food safety standards are maintained during the voyage.

  • Assist with basic kitchen tasks as instructed by superiors to ensure smooth catering operations.

Job Facilities:

  • Departure and return flight tickets are fully covered by the company.

  • Dormitory accommodation and complete facilities on board.

  • Three meals a day with good nutritional standards.

  • Guaranteed job protection, insurance, and legal and transparent employment contracts.

Requirements

General & Specific Requirements:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as an Assistant Cook or Cook on international fishing vessels (preferably experience on Trawler/Longline vessels).

  2. Language Skills: Required to be proficient in communicating in English and Spanish.

  3. Age: Male, aged between 20 to 45 years.

  4. Health: Must have excellent physical condition, strong endurance against extreme weather, and possess a valid and applicable seafarer medical certificate (MCU).

  5. Documents: Must have an active STCW certificate and valid travel documents (Passport & Seafarer Book) with a minimum validity of 18 months.

  6. Character: Disciplined, hardworking, able to work in a team, and strictly prohibited from having bad habits (alcohol and illegal drugs).

  7. Interview: Willing to undergo an in-depth interview session to test cooking skills and fluency in foreign languages.
